The guest of honour and guest preacher was the Bishop of Mityana Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Samuel Kazimba Mugalu.
At the end of the celebrations a number of people who have served St. Luke through the 100 years and those that have served the Archdeaconry in its 36 years of existence were given awards.
The Chairman of the Museum of Religion Hannington Sebuliba explained the reason as to why the Archdeacon of Mengo Ven. John Gitta Kavuma birthed the idea of a museum of Religion. He said that it was to preserve our rich heritage for the generations to come.
Bishop Kaziimba was happy that he was the one chosen to open this museum of religion in a parish where he was baptised in the 1970s.
