St. Stephen's Church Kabowa sends off former Mothers Union President Ruth Mutaawe to Glory

On Tuesday, 9th September 2014, mourners from all walks of life thronged St. Stephen's Kabowa to send off Maama Ruth Mutaawe to Glory.

Maama Mutaawe, wife to Mr. Charles Mutaawe  both members of the saved brethren of Kitende Fellowship, breathed her last on Monday and a service to celebrate the life of Maama Mutaawe was held at St. Stephen's Church of Kabowa.

People from all walks of life came from far and near to celebrate the life of this lady whose actions touched many through her preachings and words of wisdom.

The service was attended among others the Bishop of Namirembe Diocese Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira and Maama Faith Luwalira who once served in this Church as a parish priest in 1987.

The retired Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, Prof Apolo Nsibambi, the Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Katumba Wamala, the Mayor of Rubaga Municipality, Mrs. Joyce Nabbosa SSebuggwawo, the Archdeacon of Mengo Ven. John Gitta Kavuma, the Archdeacon of Kazo Ven. Can. Magala Musiwuufu, the Assistant Archdeacon of Mengo Rev, Kezekia Walusimbi and a host of other clergy attended the requiem service.

We thank Ruth for being a very good president of the Mothers Union in the 1980s. Her presence put Kabowa and Mengo archdeaconry on the map. Mrs. Masembe
Maama Mutawwe was very instrumental in builsing the church. Kasenye.
Sam mwanje she was a strong pillar in the church, the choir. She has fought a good fight it is now our turn.

Rev. Zziwa said they were very strict you had to go to their home on appointment.
