St. Apollo Namasuba breaks the ground for a 1billion shilling project

Christians of St. Apollo Kiveebulaaya Namasuba in Mengo Archdeacony, Namirembe Diocese on Sunday 28th September 2014 held a fundraising drive to start on a mega church project of a commercial building that will be an income generating project for the Church.

They collected worth 57,000,000= in cash and pledges for the construction of a multi-storied building in Namasuba. The money from renting this building will help the Church to realise its development projects.
The Guest preacher was the assistant Archdeacon of Mengo Archdeaconry Rev. Kezekiah Kaweesa Walusimbi the Parish priest of Katwe Martyrs Church, in his sermon, Rev. Kaweesa said that a church without an income generating project will face it rough in the near future because Christians are fed up with Sunday collections and many have decided to run away from Church. He appealed to Christians to ensure that they fight poverty at personal level.

The Guest of honour at the ground breaking ceremony was the LC5 Chairperson of Wakiso District Matia Lwanga Bwanika, who promised to waive off plan approval fees from this building.
